About this place
Opening in the late afternoon, Sanraku welcomes guests into a room dominated by a large U-shaped counter, where solo visitors dropping by after work sip their drinks at their own pace. Everything operates on a cash-on-delivery system, making it easy to pull out some loose change and enjoy a quick, fuss-free drink without formalities.
With a glass of chuhai or a Sapporo Black Label beer in hand, the affordable small plates and snacks hit the spot. Offerings range from skewered meats like sauce-glazed meatball skewers, tsukune chicken meatballs, fried chicken drumettes, and pork belly skewers to a variety of drinking staples such as daily small plates, chilled tofu, and ume cucumber.
You might drop by for just a couple of skewers and a single refreshing drink, or settle in for something heartier like thick-noodle yakisoba. Seating reservations are not accepted, and the bar operates only on weekdays from 17:00 to 22:00, making it an ideal choice for an unhurried, quiet glass early in the evening.
